Update 1


hey all, it’s me. the initial launch of the Tack Demo was a wee bit rushed. well, not rushed- there was a lot that needed to be addressed that i initially missed. sorry about that. hopefully this new update fixes a buncha problems you might’ve had. hope you enjoy this updated teaser while i work on making chapter 1 of Into The Shatterverse.

UPDATE 1 - Changelog

  • altered level design
  • added a unique sprite for being in turbo speed
  • increased time it takes to reach superturbo speed
  • fixed a crash with the pause menu
  • added an option to reset keybinds
  • added an option to separate the slide/dive input from the down key onto its own button
  • fixed plenty of sprite origin conflicts
  • moved the credits out of the bonus ball game into its own room
  • added names for each room that pop onto screen
  • adjusted slam behavior with slopes to be (hopefully) more consistent
  • fixed plenty of font offset issues
  • made the results text more readable on the victory screen
  • added a line of text that shows how long it took to beat the level
  • added one more npc
  • tweaked the look of the pause menu
  • fixed an issue with the master volume slider not functioning
  • fixed a visual error where the player could clip into their own house
  • fixed the checkpoint sprite being a placeholder graphic
  • redid the logo
  • rewrote tack’s dialog
  • removed the tutorial sign from tack’s challenge informing the player about how to break pottery
